French media group Lagardere Active (LAGB.FR) has sold five
specialist magazines to U.S. company Bonnier Corp. for an undisclosed sum, Lagardere subsidiary Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. said in a statement Tuesday.

The titles sold were Popular Photography, Flying, Boating, Sound and Vision and American Photo. HFM U.S. said the sale was “a strategic move” allowing it to focus on its core women’s and auto magazines, as well as developing online.
Bonnier Corp. owns more than 50 magazines in the United States including Popular Science, Parenting and Field & Stream.

HFM U.S. says it is the world’s largest magazine publisher and puts out Elle, Woman’s Day and Road and Track.
